About This Activity
Discover the world of coding and animation in this engaging camp designed for young learners! Our curriculum, tailored for early readers, focuses on developing computational thinking skills and foundational coding concepts. Using age-appropriate online tools such as Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch, students will learn basic coding concepts, including Loops and Conditions. They will create their own characters, animate them, and tell stories through art and creativity. Projects range from coding simple games and stories to animating a walk cycle, a running unicorn, and a funny handshake. By the end of the course, students will become comfortable applying basic coding concepts to create simple Scratch projects and animations on their own, building a solid foundation for future learning.
