This camp is at McKinley (925 Riverside Drive). Get ready for an exciting STEM adventure during Fall Break! The City of Reno's Sierra Kids Camp proudly presents Bricks & Bots, a hands-on LEGO Engineering camp designed specifically for curious minds aged 7–12. In this immersive weeklong experience, young engineers will dive into the fascinating world of robotics and coding with the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential robotics kits. Campers will ignite their creativity by designing and building projects such as snowmobiles, motion-sensing animal alarms, thrilling amusement park rides, and much more—each project coming to life through their own coding skills! But it's not just about robots. Bricks & Bots is crafted to inspire teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world thinking. Campers will: Engage in joyful, hands-on STEM projects, often experiencing the excitement of robotics for the very first time. Learn foundational coding skills by bringing their creations to life, seeing firsthand how their designs move, respond, and perform tasks. Collaborate with teammates to tackle fun challenges, solve puzzles, and celebrate victories together. Showcase their hard work and creativity at an end-of-week event, proudly sharing their projects with family and friends. This unique camp provides early access to high-quality STEM programming in a familiar, safe, and supportive environment, building confidence and sparking curiosity that lasts beyond Fall Break. Campers will enjoy access to state-of-the-art equipment that will continue to enrich the Sierra Kids programs year-round. Space is limited—sign up today and give your child the opportunity to explore, invent, and discover the engineer within!
