Description
Ages: 6 - 13 years
Purpose:- Learn to swim the front crawl and elementary backstroke at rudimentary levels.- Introduction to scissors and dolphin kicks.- Learn the survival float and increase time duration for treading water.
Prerequisites:- Step from side into chest-deep water, push off the bottom, float for at least 15 seconds, swim on front and/or back for 5 body lengths, then exit the water.- Float on back for 15 seconds, roll to front, then stand up.- Push off and swim on front for 5 body lengths, roll to back and float for 15 seconds, roll to front and swim for 5 body lengths.
