that goes beyond the ordinary! Our youth basketball initiative isn’t just another recreational league; it's an energetic platform designed to inspire kids through physical activity and personal growth in a safe, structured, and exhilarating environment. We champion core values like teamwork, sportsmanship, fairness, and equality, encouraging every young athlete to shine and reach their full potential.
Teams are created to ensure fair play, with players assigned randomly based on skill levels. While we don't accept special team requests, families with siblings in the same age group can register them together for convenience. Just provide their details during registration. All participants must submit a birth certificate copy, which you can scan and email to Recreation@rialtoca.gov.
Season Details: Dates: January 10, 2026 - March 7, 2026 Game Days: Saturdays
Location: Carl Johnson Center Gym, 214 N. Palm Ave, Rialto, CA
Game Times: Regular season games are 11:30am and 12:15pm, with full-court play and official basketball rules. All teams compete in playoffs, making each game a thrilling challenge! For practice and home use, we recommend a 28.5 size basketball. Please label your child's ball with their name if they bring it to practice. Personal balls are not permitted in the gym on game days.
Important Dates and Requirements: Parent Meeting, skills assessment, and registration (Division C): December 11, 2026, from 6:00pm-8:000pm, at the Carl Johnson Center Gym.
Each team normally gets 2 hours of practice with the team a week. Practices could be Monday- Friday, starting the week of January 6, 2026. Practice locations are Rialto Middle School and Kucera Middle School. Refunds and Registration: Refund requests must be submitted by January 9, 2025, at 6:00 pm, either via email or in person at the Community Center front desk.
Players on the waitlist will be notified if a spot opens up. The registration fee includes a basketball jersey, handed out on the first game day. Jerseys from the current season must be worn for every game, with replacements costing $30. Jersey replacements can take 3 weeks to arrive.
Picture Day: January 19 and 20th from 4:45pm-9:00pm
