About This Activity
Description
This open gym is intended for youth players with 6 months to 2 years of competitive volleyball experience. Athletes should already be comfortable with basic volleyball skills, including serve receive, digging, setting, and attacking. Players are expected to consistently serve the ball over the net (underhand or overhand) and have a basic understanding of common team rotations (4–2, 5–1, or 6–2).
Sessions are designed to maximize gameplay, with limited instruction and an emphasis on live scrimmages. Each session begins with a structured warm-up, after which players are grouped into teams based on their playing position and overall experience level to ensure balanced and safe play.
Players should bring water and wear comfortable athletic clothing, proper athletic shoes, and knee pads.
