About This Activity
This combined level is for players who can play a complete game but want to strengthen their tactics and strategies. Focus areas include openings, tactics (forks, pins, skewers), and planning for the mid-game. Players enjoy a balance of instruction, practice games, and fun breaks with the LEGO Chess Wall and giant chess boards. Designed to help kids “bridge” from casual play into serious improvement — and prepare for Advanced Knights or the Discovery Chess League™.
