Fast-paced, energetic, and built on teamwork, street hockey provides children with an exciting way to stay active while learning the value of collaboration, effort, and sportsmanship. The Power Play Street Hockey Experience, led by Overtime Athletics, is thoughtfully designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of hockey in a safe, structured, and engaging environment. Campers play in sneakers using age-appropriate equipment, allowing them to focus on movement, teamwork, and skill development — no skating experience required. Each day, children rotate through high-energy skill stations focused on shooting, passing, stick handling, and game awareness. Instruction is delivered through creative games, relays, obstacle challenges, and small-sided matches that keep campers active and engaged while reinforcing key skills. Daily scrimmages allow children to apply what they’ve learned in a supportive, team-oriented setting. Our coaches emphasize positive reinforcement and clear instruction, creating an environment where beginners feel confident trying something new and more experienced players remain challenged and motivated. Beyond physical skills, campers develop communication, cooperation, and respect for teammates — lessons that extend well beyond the rink or playing surface. The Power Play Street Hockey Experience is ideal for students who enjoy movement, teamwork, and friendly competition, and for families seeking a camp that balances energy with intention, structure, and character development.
