About This Activity
Richmond’s first scholastic chess league! Teams practice weekly, compete in biweekly matches, and advance to a finals showcase. Schools may register full teams, or individual players can join a Discovery House Team. League benefits include: Rated coaches (in-house and virtual) providing training and analysis. Coach support: schools with existing club coaches get lesson plans, puzzles, and match resources so their coaches are empowered. Tech-friendly training with digital boards, virtual resources, and AI tools. Fun, engaging breaks with giant chess, character boards, and our LEGO Chess Wall — making practice social, creative, and memorable. Discovery Chess League gives kids the same season-long experience as sports — with teamwork, competition, and growth.
