About This Activity
Description
Ages 11-17Dancing has a direct impact on our minds, bodies, and lives. It provides opportunities for self-expression, helps build self-confidence, and nourishes both physical and emotional wellbeing. In this class, participants work with a range of dance forms, musical styles, and improvisational techniques. Our physical focus improves coordination, flexibility, muscle tone and balance, all in an environment that caters to participants’ needs and unique learning styles. By working with basic elements of dance – shape, rhythm and breath – participants enhance their connection to self and others. Note: NO prior dance experience required! All learners are welcome.Wear comfortable clothing and dance shoes or sneakers.
