About This Activity
Description
This offering is for people who are serious and seriously curious about the craft of songwriting. We’ll examine and analyze a variety of songs from the last 50 years in the first week and then write and share music for the second week. To write music, we’ll use our favorite songs as a compositional model and use that as a springboard for expression. If you JUST KNOW you have a song in your heart but you’ve never taken a shot at writing one–or if you want an opportunity to flex your songwriting muscles–then this is the class for you! For anyone 15 and up, previous music experience is recommended.
