Experience the joy, thrills, and health benefits of one of the most popular sports worldwide and a recent addition to the Olympic event roster. Table tennis improves eye-hand coordination, balance/agility, footwork, strategic thinking, split-second reaction, and timing. And it’s wicked fun! Everyone welcome. We’ll cover all the rules, service, spin, defense/offense strategies, and what it takes to get the ball over the net and onto the other side of the table. Street shoes are not allowed on the floor, so please bring your indoor gymnasium shoes. Equipment provided but feel free to bring your own paddle. Instructor Neil Krane's passion for recreational table tennis began at his 1978 workplace where employees played before and after work, and during coffee breaks and lunch. He went on to introduce table tennis at every community opportunity, currently as volunteer leader of the Camden Hills Regional High School Table Tennis Club before expanding into adult ed. He has even invented a new table sport influenced by tennis, table tennis, pickleball, handball, and squash!
