About This Activity
Learn the basics of maintaining your machine including cleaning and oiling, setting proper tension, and diagnosing stitch problems. Bring your machine and its manual. Instructor Peter Eckhart took over Don Sabins’ forty-plus-year-old sewing machine repair business in 2017 after twenty-six years as a Design Draftsman at SteelPro. Since then he has serviced many vintage sewing machines, including ones that have not been used in many years. He also keeps the newer machines at Camden Hills Regional High School and Camden-Rockport Middle School in working order.
