About This Activity
Description
This is a parent and child workshop designed to provide a themed art activity for parent and child to explore and create different mediums and techniques in art. It is also an opportunity for our staff to showcase educational opportunities at the Imperial Centre.NO EXPERIENCE IN NECESSARYLIMITED TO 25 PARTICIPANTS.PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Siblings are allowed to sign up and participate; however, please remember that this activity is designed as a preschool age and parent workshop.
Theme: Black History Month featuring the work of Faith Ringgold Quilt/Textile ArtistInstructor will read a story and introduce a paper quilt art activity. Parent and child/children will create a paper quilt using collage, crayons, and/or printmaking.After activity, families may explore the Children's Museum with free admission and/or Maria V. Howard Arts Center.
