Description
Age as of December 31. Teams are formed based on the school district in which the child lives and/or attends school. Practice day/time is determined by the coach, most teams practice in the teams school district. Requests for practice days cannot be considered because teams are put together prior to coaches choosing practice days/times.Once basketball teams are formed, coaches will meet the week prior to Thanksgiving to receive rosters/equipment/practice times. Teams are allowed to begin practice the week after Thanksgiving. Teams will practice once/week until Winter Break and then games will begin (and practices will resume) in January. The season is approximately eight weeks long. Length of season depends on number of teams, gym availability and inclement weather. League 9/10 and up play games at BFMS and FCHS.
Registration fees are refundable for any reason until the registration deadline, November 1. Late registration fees are not refundable.
Players signed up during late registration are placed as needed until teams are full, then registration will be closed.
Gym Rules:
No food/drink in facility (water bottles with water are fine)
No smoking, tobacco or e-cigarettes
No one allowed in stage are of gyms
Usage is strictly for gyms/restrooms. No one should be roaming through other areas of the school
All children must be supervised at all times.
Only participants on the officials roster are allowed to practice or play.
Appropriate shoes must be worn on gym floors.
Players can move up to the next league if they are within one year of moving up (10 as of 12/31). Player must register in 9/10 then give permission to move up in notes.*Team requests are not guaranteed*Participants can sign up for one team sport per season
