Age as of December 31. Avoid paying the late fee and register prior to November 1st. Once cheer squads are formed, there will be a coaches meeting the week prior to Thanksgiving for them to receive rosters and choose practice times. Squads are allowed to begin practices the week after Thanksgiving. Teams will practice once per week until Winter Break and then games will begin in January. The season is approximately eight to ten weeks. Length of schedule depends on number of teams, gym availability and inclement weather. Ages and school districts may be combined, based on registration numbers to form cheer squads. Requests can not be considered for participants to cheer for a siblings basketball team. The head cheer coach chooses the basketball team that the squad will cheer for. There may be 100 basketball teams, but only around 10 cheer squads in a typical season.
Registration fees are refundable for any reason until the registration deadline, November 1. Late registration fees are not refundable.
Players signed up during late registration are placed as needed until teams are full, then registration will be closed.
Gym Rules:
No food/drink in facility (water bottles with water are fine)
No smoking, tobacco or e-cigarettes
No one allowed in stage are of gyms
Usage is strictly for gyms/restrooms. No one should be roaming through other areas of the school
All children must be supervised at all times.
Only participants on the officials roster are allowed to practice or play.
Appropriate shoes must be worn on gym floors.
