Description
Franklin County Sandlot Football is a 501c Non-Profit Organization formed with the purpose of promoting youth football in Franklin County. The main objective is to impact the youth of the community teaching good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority.The following should be taken into consideration before registering: 1. Football practice begins in August. Practices are 3-4 times per week before school starts and 2-3 days per week thereafter, with an additional game per week. 2. You will be required to travel to the following locations for games: Roanoke, Salem, Botetourt and Vinton. There are games during the week. Game start times may be as late as 7:30pm, especially for older groups. 3. The registration fee is non-refundable. $105 for each football player, $210 for 2 football players and $210 max per family. (Must be siblings, does not include $15 recreation fee assessed per child) The fee includes registration, jerseys and equipment rental. Equipment has to be returned or you will be charged. Participant should provide colored mouthpiece, cleats (no metal spikes) and chin strap. 4.Physicals are recommended but not required. 5. AGES ARE AS OF SEPTEMBER 30.Participants are encouraged to sign up early, as availability is not guaranteed.
Late Registration will be open from July 1-8, or until teams are filled.
Registration Deadline: June 30
Coaches will contact participants Mid-July with practice schedules and equipment pick up date.
