We are in need of volunteer coaches. If we get additional coaches, we can open the registration up for additional players. Email nikki.custer@franklincountyva.gov if you want to sign up.

Franklin County plays in the RAYSA League (Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association). Practices will be held in Franklin County. Games will be held in Franklin County and surrounding areas. RAYSA will also provide an end of the season tournament.
Teams are formed based on age/school district. Not every elementary school district will have a team in their area but we will group them as closely as possible.
Practices begin late March and games begin in April.
Practice balls and catchers equipment are provided per team. Each player needs to have a glove and cleats. Having your own batting helmet is required. Face masks for infield defensive players are required in all leagues. We recommend defensive face masks for all participants.

This league is for girls ages 9 and 10 as of December 31. If any 10 yr old girl would like to play up in the 12U age group she will need to be 10 by December 31, 2024, no exceptions. To register her for the 12U age group, you would need to register for the age appropriate group (10U) then include a note on the registration giving her permission to move to the next league.
Feel free to include requests on your registration, however, please note that requests are just that and it is not a guarantee that we will be able to fulfill all requests.
Registration Deadline: March 3
Late Registration is available for an additional $15 from March 4 to March 17. Late registration may close prior to March 15 if teams fill up.
Registration fees are refundable until March 3, 2025. Late Registration Fees are non-refundable.
