Ages are as of December 31, 2025
Franklin County will play in the RAYSA league (Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association). Teams will practice in Franklin County. Games will be played in Franklin County and surrounding areas.
Teams are formed based on age/school district. Not every elementary school district will have a team in their area but we will group them as closely as possible.
Practices begin late March and games begin in April.
Practice balls and catchers equipment is provided per team. Each player needs to have a glove, defensive face mask, batting helmet and cleats.

This league is for girls ages 6, 7 and 8 yr olds as of December 31, 2025. If any 8yr old girl would like to play up in the 10U age group she will need to be 8 by 12/31/25, no exceptions. To register her for the 10U age group, you would need to register for the age appropriate group (8U) then include a note on the registration giving her permission to move to the next league.
Participants must be 6 by 12/31 to be eligible for this league.
Feel free to include requests on your registration, however, please note that requests are just that and it is not a guarantee that we will be able to fulfill all requests.
Registration Deadline: March 2
Late Registration is available for an additional $15 from March 3 to March 18. Late registration may close prior to March 18 if teams fill up.
Registration fees are refundable until March 2, 2026. Late registration fees are non-refundable.
