About This Activity
Boost your first grader’s reading skills and phonics practice in a fun, small-group setting! In this engaging class, taught by Dapplegray’s own first grade teacher, Ms. Lloyd, students will perform short play scripts written with specific phonics patterns (decodable scripts). These scripts give children the chance to practice and reinforce what they’re learning in the classroom while bringing stories to life on stage. Students will read aloud, work together as a cast, and enjoy time with friends while also making new ones. With its small group size, the class provides individual attention while helping children build fluency, confidence, and strong communication skills in a supportive, creative environment. No class on September 23, 2025, and November 11, 2025. 9 class sessions.
