About This Activity
Calling all curious, creative, and aspiring young writers in grades 3–5! Mrs. Nelson is leading an exciting after-school program where students will plan, write, and publish their very own school newspaper. From reporting school events to writing fun features and interviews, this is your chance to be part of something special. Learn journalism basics, work as a team, and see your stories come to life in print. Whether you love writing, drawing comics, or snapping photos, there's a role for everyone. Let your voice be heard — join the Newspaper Club today! Mrs. Nelson is a fifth-grade teacher at Dapplegray Elementary with 26 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about helping students grow academically and personally. Outside of school, Mrs. Nelson enjoys reading, writing, staying active, and spending time at the beach. She loves sharing her life with her wonderful family — and her beloved French bulldog, Bella, who always keeps things fun.
