About This Activity
Description
Step back in time to Illinois during the 1750s. Students practice the barter system used by the French and American Indians to exchange goods. By participating in a trade, students learn and see the benefits of this economic process. This is an opportunity for homeschooled or remote-learning students to experience Isle a la Cache’s field trip programs that are normally only offered to school groups. Isle a la Cache Museum is an accessible facility; outdoor activities will take place on paved paths and natural surfaces.
Ages 7-12. Students must be accompanied by a chaperone.
