About This Activity
This class brings stories to life with Jan Brett through literature, geography, science & art. Students will explore animals and cultures inspired by the places she visited to inspire her stories. We will read 10 of her stories, discuss themes, explore geography, do experiments, play games, and create art to discover the real world connections behind each tale. By the end of the class every student will take home a class created book, celebrating each child and their personal story. The book will focus on the authors signature borders, which are stories within a story, giving students a chance to design their own creative narrative around themselves. Teacher: Shelby Bolitho
