About This Activity
Take the stage and train like a true triple threat! In this energetic musical theatre class, students will build foundational skills in acting, singing, and dance while exploring material inspired by some of today’s most popular musicals. Through scene work, ensemble singing, choreography, theater games, and performance exercises, students will develop confidence, creativity, stage presence, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Class material may be inspired by hit musicals such as Hamilton, Six, Beetlejuice, Wicked, The Descendants, Newsies, Matilda, and other student favorites, with selections tailored to the interests of the group. Students will work throughout the semester toward a final musical theatre showcase featuring songs, scenes, and choreography from beloved Broadway productions. Family and friends will be invited to celebrate the performers’ hard work and growth during this exciting end-of-semester performance on the last day of class!
