Description
Get ready for your child’s first big basketball experience!
YMCA Preschool Basketball is designed especially for our youngest players to learn, play, and grow in a safe, supportive environment. With age-appropriate equipment and caring coaches, kids build confidence while having fun with friends.
Each week includes:
- 30 minutes of practice to learn the basics — dribbling, passing, teamwork, and shooting.
- 30 minutes of game play right after practice — no stress.
- Everything takes place the Birmingham YMCA
This league is all about smiles, not scores. Every child gets to play, every family gets to cheer, and every week is a win!
Program Details:
- For ages 4–5 (no previous experience needed)
- Meets once per week at your local Y
- All practices and games are held at your branch — no travel required
Volunteer Coaches NeededHelp preschoolers take their first steps in sports! No coaching experience required — just enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to create a fun, positive team experience. Click “Yes, I’m interested in Coaching” to get started.
