About This Activity
Level 3 AGES 8-13 Years FOAM & RED Balls While learning the basics, kids are working towards sustaining a rally and scoring. Red balls will be used for this program. Kids in this program have gone through a few Level 2 sessions to understand basic concepts and can sustain 4-8 ball rallies over the net. The two serve boxes and the regular net are used. Advanced kids in this program may start using orange balls with a larger court. - Spacing to teach kids how to receive the ball in the proper position to hit. - Forehand/Backhand Unit Turns and hits. - Direction and Aim - Games like 5 in a row are taught consistency in preparation for the next level. - Footwork, running and jumping. - High Five tosses and traps lays the foundation for serving. Hammer position, Halo, back scratch, and V position are the next progressions for serves. Introduce scoring and basic doubles position.
