About This Activity
Description
Celebrate the important role of music in our lives. Each day, we listen to a short classical piece by composers like Strauss, Tchaikovsky, or Saint-Saëns. We play rhythm instruments like the West African djembe or shekere and the Mexican güiro. In the art room, we craft our own unique drums, rain sticks, and other instruments using everyday items. Through song, sound, and movement, we discover that music really is all around us. Let the music begin! Campers are expected to be fully toilet trained and use the toilet independently. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.Location
