ELKS NATIONAL HOOP SHOOT

SucceedLet’s SHOOT SOME HOOPS!It’s time for the annual Hoop Shoot contest sponsored by Salisbury Elks Lodge #699, Salisbury Parks and Recreation and funded by the Elks National Foundation. The free throw event is FREE and open to all boys and girls ages 8 to 13 (age as of April 1, 2026)
Six divisions including boys ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 and girls ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13
ALL participants must bring copy of birth certificate to local and district contests.
Trophies awarded to 1st and 2nd place in each of six divisions.
Save the Dates: 1st place winners advance to District Hoop Shoot on 1/24/26 in High Point. District winners advance to State Hoop Shoot on 2/27/26 in Greensboro. State winners advance to Regionals on 3/7/26 in Charlottesville Va. Regional winners advance National Finals on 4/18/26 in Chicago, IL. National winners are listed on the Elks National Hoop Shoot Hall of Fame.
Contest: Each contestant will shoot a total of 25 free throws (10 shots/contestant until all finish then 15 shots /contestant to total 25 shots for final score). NOTE: 8–9-year-old age group will shoot 4 feet in front of the regulation foul line. Ties will be broken by taking five additional shots in the same shooting order as the regular contest.
