At Fairfax Cycling Camp, we love biking and being in nature! We strive to share this love with your child in a context of safety, fun, and support. Riders ages 11-14 will have the opportunity to stay in San Domenico's dorms for extra biking fun with evening activities and lessons, while spending their mornings and afternoons on wheels covering 8-16 miles, while learning safety, skills, & maintenance. Your child will connect with new friends and gain lasting relationships with older mentors in our thoughtful program which includes team building and cooperative games. Fairfax Cycling Camp are owned and operated by a local school teacher and his family and each week is staffed by one adult leader who is a teacher, as well as several college and high school-aged counselors. Their highly experienced and qualified staff allows them to maintain a ration of at least 5:1, ensuring that they are able to meet each campers' needs safely. Their campers have a wider age and ability range, from beginners to riders who are highly skilled and fit enough to ride challenging single track. They take care to ensure that your child is in the right group! Their day is arranged to include a balance of time together as a large group, with smaller ride groups based on the ability of the camper. They want all of their campers to gain confidence and have fun, and they have noticed that the kids who have the best time, always have the right kind of gear. Fairfax Cycling Camp boarders will take a supervised ride with their coaches to the camp meeting location each morning and back to San Domenico in the afternoon. Boarding tuition includes room, meals, and supervision. Make sure to register for the camp itself by visiting fairfaxcyclingcamp.com.
