Hosted by Amanda Bennett, St. Luke's Episcopal School Art Teacher In this class, students will explore the world of fiber art by creating a handmade “stuffie” using felt, along with a unique wet-felted object. Students will design their own patterns and learn basic sewing skills such as stitching and securely sewing on buttons. They will also experiment with wet felting, a hands-on technique that uses wool, water, and gentle agitation to form felt into a desired shape. By the end of the class, students will take home one-of-a-kind keepsakes and a new set of creative fiber art skills.
