OVERVIEW The course is a basic self-defense and subject-control program designed for entry-level or veteran law enforcement and security officers. The focus is to teach students how to control and stabilize non-compliant subjects who are unarmed. This course is taught with our Security Officer, Level IV Personal Protection Officer Training/Orientation to Protective Services classes. (TCOLE Reporting Number 2040) COMPLETING THIS COURSE WILL TEACH YOU -Understanding basic self-defense -Pressure points -Basic grappling -Reactionary vs survival gap WHO IS THE COURSE FOR The State of Texas does not have a statuary requirement to be trained before defending yourself.
