About This Activity
This enrichment class is a chance for students to combine art, creativity, and writing. Each week, students will spend an hour working on engaging stories, poetry, letters, collages, and art that tells the story of who they are. Activities will include: Flash fiction Poetry and visual poetry Dream journaling Personal stories Blackout poetry Personal narrative writing Fun and personal journal art The goal isn't perfect writing or perfect art; it's for students to explore, experiment, and make their journals their own. Some weeks may focus more on writing, while others will incorporate journal art. The final product will be a unique and engaging journal that students can come back to and reflect on for years to come! Included in the cost is a journal and a variety of art supplies that will be used throughout the class.
