About This Activity
Hosted by Kristen Graham, St. Luke's Music Teacher Rhythm and Groove Band is an ensemble-based music course for students in grades 2-5 who are ready to make music together. Students will explore rhythm and melody through hands-on music making using a wide variety of instruments, including drums, xylophones, metallophones, sound effects, and will even have options such as ukuleles, guitars, keyboards, and recorders. Using an Orff-based approach, students will layer rhythms, create melodies, improvise, and perform as a collaborative ensemble.
