Eligibility Requirements • Child entering Kinder- 5th grade in the fall of 2026. • Not already registered for a summer 2026 Zoo Camp session. • Family eligibility/participation with one or more of the following programs: o Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or other similar program o Child Care Services (CCS) through the Texas Workforce Commission o Foster Family Care o Kinship Care Applications will be reviewed and awarded the first full week of April 2026. As a reminder, filling out a scholarship application for Summer Camp 2026 does not guarantee that you will receive a scholarship for camp. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for camp weeks and/or themes, but preferences cannot be guaranteed. If awarded a Zoo Camp scholarship, a non-refundable $20 processing fee will be due before May 1, 2026. Important Dates: Scholarship Application Opens: March 1, 2026 Scholarship Application Closes: March 31, 2026 Notification of Scholarship: April 10, 2026 Requirements and Reminders: • Applicants must fill out the application form correctly, and entirely, by the due date to be considered. Late applications will not be accepted. • Being registered in one or more summer Zoo Camp sessions and concurrently submitting a scholarship application will void scholarship eligibility. • Scholarships are currently not available for Wild Careers or Research Rangers programs. • After Care (optional) is included as part of the camp scholarship. • Transportation to and from Zoo Camp is not provided as part of the scholarship.
