About This Activity
Turn playtime into coding time! In this self-paced class, students will use the award-winning CodeSpark Academy app, a kid-friendly platform designed to teach the foundations of computer science through fun, game-like challenges. With no reading required, CodeSpark uses puzzles, interactive stories, and the lovable “Foos” characters to introduce key coding concepts like sequencing, loops, conditionals, and problem-solving. Students will start by solving leveled puzzles to build their coding skills. Once ready, they’ll move on to creating their own games and designing interactive stories—learning to think like real programmers while having fun. This class is perfect for early coders who are ready to explore the world of STEM in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Discovery Education Coding will also be offered to older students who are ready for more advanced Coding Lessons.
