About This Activity
We teach campers to build and program robots using LEGO MINDSTORMS. Campers create robots from instructions and their own designs, starting with a Rover Bot and PlotBot to learn building, coding, testing, and troubleshooting. They progress from basic to advanced programming using color and touch sensors. Robots will move, talk, draw, play music, and more. Campers then design a Sumo Robot to compete in a Sumo battle. The program also introduces AI and machine learning, showing how intelligent robots interact with their environment using sensors.
