In this class, students will discover how to cook and bake tasty and nourishing meals! Our interactive classes are hands-on — young chefs will learn and explore seasonal fall produce and local ingredients to nourish their bodies and minds. Young chefs will learn fundamental culinary skills such as knife techniques and food and kitchen safety. Our talented instructors, with backgrounds in food, nutrition, and public health, are passionate about teaching culinary nutrition. All ingredients, equipment and supplies will be provided. Recipes are always Nut Free, and we try to accommodate all Food Allergies. Each class will feature a new recipe, with no repeats! Typical Class Structure 5–7 minutes: Pick up students from their class or auditorium. 10–12 minutes: Wash hands, set up groups, review the recipe of the day and collect utensils. 15–20 minutes: Instructor demonstration. 30–40 minutes: Students begin prepping and cooking. 10 minutes: Clean and eat.
