About This Activity
1st & 2nd Grade: Earth Action Heroes Everyone can be an Earth Action Hero and take steps to help our planet. Campers will learn about our endangered species and about conservation efforts to support them. Through a variety of art and science activities, artifact investigation, and visits from wildlife experts, campers will learn the many ways that species help, survive and adapt to a changing planet. Theme: Endangered Species Squad Campers become heroes for endangered animals by exploring their habitats, food sources, and pollinator partners. Hands-on investigations, habitat models, and creative storytelling help campers understand how conservation efforts protect both wildlife and plants. Art projects using natural and recycled materials let campers advocate for the living systems they’ve learned about.
