Chemistry For students entering grades 7 – 9 in the fall of 2024. Description In the summer chemistry program, students will be introduced to measurements and significant figures, atomic structure, types of matter, physical and chemical changes, bonding and chemical reactions. They will learn how to read the periodic table, name simple ionic and covalent compounds and do chemical calculations involving moles and Avogadro’s number. The instruction will be a mix of hands-on activities, guided inquiry, lecture, and lab experiments. Course Session July 15 – July 26 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM (PST) | 5:30 PM-7:30 PM (EST) Fee $625
