Students will learn the basics of 3D design using Tinkercad, a beginner-friendly online tool. They’ll start with simple shapes and build up to creating personalized objects like nameplates, keychains, or small fidgets. Along the way, they’ll learn how 3D printers work and what makes a design “printable.” By the end of camp, students will have at least one original design ready to be printed and taken home (as printing resources allow). Request: Access to 3D printers and filaments on campus, or a new 3D printer.
