INTRODUCTION TO LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS/GENAI Activity Organizer: Hongyu Lu, Abhinay Sharma Email: hl_107@yahoo.com; abhinay@gmail.com Dates: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 6–12 Cost: Description: The Intro to GenAI/Large Language Models club is designed to give students a deeper look at the rapid evolution of generative AI in our everyday lives, including software like ChatGPT and Gemini; artificial intelligence has taken a major role in society's development. Focusing on GenAI and models like ChatGPT, this club will consist of students learning the basics of how language models work and their uses, guest speakers sharing their experience with artificial intelligence, and final projects that allow students to create their own prototypes to be integrated into their day-to-day lives and interact with large language models. Beginning with an introduction to the fundamentals of ChatGPT, students will gain a broad understanding of the ideas of GenAI, demystify LLMs and its applications.
