MUSIC COLLABORATION CLUB Activity Organizer: Nancy Xiao and Bian Fang Email: nicoleandnancy@gmail.com; bianfang@gmail.com Dates: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month (last meeting on 4/1/24) Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 6–12 Cost: Prerequisites: Members should have at least 1 year of experience with their instrument(s), including voice Description: Many students at BASIS play an instrument. This club hopes to expand students’ opportunities, which may currently be limited, to perform and experience other musical arrangements such as chamber music, duets, etc. Student musicians within the club will connect in organized small group or solo performances, exchange musical feedback, and open themselves to new genres of music, such as cultural/ethnic. Students will have the freedom to explore their creativity via their own interpretations and choices of music. Students will have the options of performing at senior centers or at the school (World Fest, assemblies, etc), allowing students to share music with others.
