SCIENCE BOWL(HIGH SCHOOL) Activity Organizer: Ms. Bozidarevic Email: ivana.bozidarevic@basisindependent.com Dates: Wednesdays Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Grades: 9 - 12 Cost: Description: Science Bowl is a nationwide academic competition that tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. Teams face-off in question-andanswer format, tested on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth science, physics, energy, and math. If you are interested in solving technical problems in a fast-paced verbal forum with your fellow classmates, then High School Science Bowl is for you. At our weekly meetings, we will prepare for the regional competition while discussing advanced scientific concepts and addressing many of today’s most pressing scientific issues. Regionals are held typically in February at the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) campus. Following the regional competition, meetings will continue weekly or biweekly.
