Through this program students have an opportunity to compete in the Synopsys Science and Technology Competition that is held in March. Although conducting the experimental projects are the personal responsibility of the students, teacher advisors will provide students with a timeline, maintain a checklist for progress, suggest improvements, troubleshoot problems, and give feedback on the conclusions and visual display board. This assistance is offered until certain deadlines. Deadlines exist to provide fair amounts of time to advisors to review all of the projects they are advising while providing students ample time to make modifications and improvements. Open communication with your advisor and timely submissions will help make BISV student projects more successful. The student bears the cost for the materials and if selected for the competition, cost of competition and travel as well.
