Consists of individualized study of techniques and repertoire for the specific instrument or voice being studied. The purpose of this class is to augment class instruction for MUS 212 - Applied Music. Emphasis is on the progressive development of skills needed for solo performance. Applied lessons are available in voice, piano, strings, guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion, arranging, and conducting. Pre-requisites: Final admittance to the course based on audition. NEW students: Audition is Friday, January 24 from 11:30 – 1 pm after the first class meeting in Room 7160. Returning students: audition is the previous semester’s jury and a grade of B or better. Co-requisite: student must be registered in MUS 212 – Applied Music.
