Marching Band Fundamentals Instructor: Brandon Aparicio Grades: 8-12 Days & Times: June 8 - July 9, Mondays and Thursdays, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm June 27, Saturday, 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm July 4, Saturday Parade Performance, TBD Location: SMHS Music Room This course is a recommended prerequisite for all new and returning music students (this includes percussion and guard) interested in joining the award-winning SMHS 2026-2027 Titan Marching Band & Colorguard. The course will cover music and movement fundamentals in preparation for the Fall 2026 Marching Band season. Sectionals and extra practice will be at the discretion of each instrumental section. Instruction will be taught by professional music and movement technicians. Course credit is not applicable. BAND CAMP (July 27, July 28, July 29, July 31 & August 3 to August 7, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm; July 30, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm) is separate from this course and is a mandatory requirement along with zero period Marching Band class (beginning of school through December). If you do not participate in the Marching Band Fundamentals summer course, Band Camp is still mandatory. Fee: $300
