Chamber Music for Strings Grades 5 - 7 Period 2: 10:20-11:45 Instructor: Robert Folsom Do you play a string instrument and want to get experience playing in small groups? Would you like to explore different genres of music on your instrument and rehearse in a fun and relaxed atmosphere? If so, Chamber Music for Strings is for you! In this course, you will get experience rehearsing and performing in small ensembles including duos, trios, and quartets. Individual groups will be formed based on level and experience and each group will play a role in choosing music from Mr. Folsom’s library of chamber music. Music choices will include classical, pop, bluegrass, and more. There will be a small performance the last week of summer school. This course is for string players with at least one year of playing experience. Instruments include violin, viola, cello, and string bass.
