Instructor: Angel Ramirez Coaches: Keri Fang, Carly Kejmar, Jaya Banks Grades: 8-12 Spring Semester: July 1st to July 19th, 2024 Days & Times: Mon, Tues, and Wed. (3 weeks) 12:30 pm -2:30 pm Location SMHS Big Gym Weight Room: TBD An all-skill level course in place to help develop and/or maintain our athletes' volleyball skills through the summer/off-season. Areas of focus will include serving, passing, setting, and attacking at the fundamental and advanced levels. Here we will introduce certain strategies for both offense and defense to get us to an understanding of how to live gameplay works. Throughout the course, we’ll be able to incorporate mini-games, scrimmages, and conditioning to get our athletes familiar with how the program works during the fall season. Our SMHS Volleyball summer course’s overall goal will be to help prepare those interested in trying out and playing in the upcoming fall 2024/2025 Girls' Volleyball season. We would also encourage and welcome any students to participate if they would like to get a chance to get some volleyball repetitions during the summer. Requirements: athletic indoor shoes, volleyball attire, water Recommendations: knee pads, ankle braces, knee brace Fee: $200
