About This Activity

Description

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training is the course you need to become a certified Lifeguard. Participants who successfully complete this course will become certified in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Lifeguards and First Aid.
Prerequisites:Participants must be 15 years old by or on the last day of class.Participants must pass the prerequisites detailed below. Prerequisites will be administered on the first day of class: 1. 150 yard continuous swim, tread water for 2 minute with legs only, and complete another 50 yards of continuous swimming. 2. 20 yard swim, retrieval of 10lb object from 7ft depth, swim with object 20 yards at the surface of the water, exit pool at side (1:40 time limit).
Please bring a lunch, towel, and appropriate clothing for quick transition between pool and classroom.
Cancellation policy: Cancellation fee: $25.00. All cancellations must be provided in writing and emailed to csd@marinwood.org. We will not process refunds over the phone. Cancellation requests must be submitted before the session/program begins.
