Marinwood’s Babysitters in Training Camp mixes the skills taught in babysitter training with the fun of camp!Campers will learn basic childcare & the business of babysitting, become certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid, and receive an official American Red Cross Certificate. Through lectures, guided discussions and video, campers will practice how to make good decisions, manage misbehavior and more. They will also learn and teach kid-friendly games, go swimming at Marinwood Pool during the week and work with our youngest day campers for some extra practice. This week will leave campers with the confidence and knowledge to start taking care of little ones!
Campers should bring a snack, lunch and swimsuit/towel to camp every day. Participants must pass a physical demonstration and knowledge of first aid and CPR skills to be certified in First Aid & CPR/AED. Campers who do not pass the CPR portion, may still be certified in Babysitting Training. Campers will walk over to Marinwood Community Center daily to interact with campers or swim.
Camp fee includes Red Cross Babysitters w/ Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification and handbook.
