About This Activity
Description
Grades 4th-10th This program is for all experience levels and is an excellent introduction to tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.Explore ancient ruins, and discover strange magic and incredible creatures. Get the dice out for this pencil-and-paper, collaborative game of adventure and imagination. Participants take the initiative to direct the storytelling through the choices they make role-playing their characters. In each group, we create a unique story arc that follows our heroes as they become powerful forces of their realm.
We may take a break for participants to play outside, and have an opportunity to eat their snack. Bring a water bottle, and a snack or bag lunch if needed.
PLEASE SIGN UP AS EARLY AS YOU CAN!The instructors need time to customize this program based on the age, experience, and preferences of the participants we are expecting. Signing up early gives our staff time to tailor the program and split participants into compatible groups to give everyone the best possible experience.
AGE RANGE DISCLAIMER:This is a mixed age activity. Your child might be the only one their age in this group. This program's facilitators believe age diversity leads to healthy friendships and mentorships across the age range and reduces negative effects of social comparison and competition.
